"Local marketing can drive up manufacturing and marketing costs by reducing economies of scale." Armstrong & Kotler, Ch6 - P.18 After test marketing FLIRTY in our very diverse local market and receiving such high accolades from all, we decided to follow up with a large scale nation-wide unveiling with a VIP atmosphere. And after that we plan to heavily rely on word-of-mouth marketing for at least the the first quarter.

PRIMARY DATA COLLECTION RESULTS - "Observational research involves gathering primary data by observing relevant people, actions, and situations… Researchers often observe consumer behavior to glean customer insights they can’t obtain by simply asking customers questions." Armstrong & Kotler, Ch4 - P. 137 Our local test marketing session was at Love Jones, a lingerie boutique in the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. We received such extremely positive feedback we decided to do a national product reveal. Since there are not Love Jones stores across the country, we decided to make the location Victoria's Secret.

I think a local display is a good idea to see live reactions to your product. However hopefully it will soon hit many markets at once after a successful launch!

That's a very good point! Maybe I should make the unveiling national in 20 major cities one week then smaller cities the next week.
